P.U.G.S Presents Balasa

P.U.G.S holds regular monthly events called Balasa for its Contenders and opens these to anyone interested in CCGs of any sort. Want to share your love of your fandom? Why not do it by teaching others how to play your fandom’s CCG at P.U.G.S events like the Balasa? Want to learn how to play the CCG of your fandom? Chances are you will find someone in P.U.G.S who knows how to play it and will be more than happy to teach you.

This May 23 marks the first of a monthly series of events called Balasa, a gathering of all things CCG. The Balasa events serve the CCG community by providing a regular event where various CCG communities can hold tournaments, demos, discussions and to network among like-minded people. The Philippine Underground Gamers Society (P.U.G.S) is inviting all CCG enthusiasts to participate in this and all future Balasas and a chance to become part of an idea whose time has come.

I just have a question though. how much is the entrance fee for the Block Constructed Magic tournament? The Balasas web page says 200 but the poster says 150.

We're adapting as we go along. The latest entrance fee update is what is on the poster now.

Also I think it would be better if there was more information provided. Like specifically, what demos are going to be run(edit: I read the poster fine print again, oops), what items in particular are going to be auctioned off.

I think you'd attract a more diverse crowd of participants if there was a little more structure in the Trading\Auctions part.

Just my 2 pesos.

The 2nd BALASA will be held June 27, Saturday, at the Groundfloor, Cyberzone, SM Marikina from 10:am til 9:00pm. This is a joint event with the Open Gaming Meet (think BALASA but for boardgames). Click on the thumbnail below in order to view and download a large-ish JPG image of the map.
